2011 Schedule of Events
Thursday, March 31, 2011: 9AM – 5:30PM

30 minute solo recitals performed by each of the twelve pianists

Friday, April 1, 2011: 7:00PM

The top 6 finalists perform movements from select string trios.

Saturday, April 2, 2011: 7:30PM

The top 3 finalists perform movements from select piano concerti with the Sioux City Symphony. At the conclusion of the concert, the winner of the $7,500 first prize will be announced.

All events take place at the Orpheum Theatre - 528 Pierce Street, downtown Sioux City

Denis Evstuhin Wins
2009 Competition

Russian pianist Denis Evstuhin, a DMA student in Piano Performance at the University of Minnesota is the 2009 winner of the Iowa Piano Competition. Click Here for Details


Maio Hou 2008 Winner
By the age of 17, Miao Hou had performed all over China. In 2000, she moved to the United States to attend the Curtis Institute of Music where she received her bachelors degree. She is now attending Juilliard in pursuit of her Masters. Click here for details..
